CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS

 

A.     CALL TO ORDER - Persons wishing to speak on an agenda item are asked to complete an information card and present it to the secretary.  The Planning Commission meeting is recorded to assist in the preparation of the minutes, and you are, therefore, asked to give your name and address prior to offering testimony.  All testimony is to be given from the podium.

E.     ORAL REPORTS/PUBLIC PARTICIPATION ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS (LIMITED TO 30 MINUTES; 3 MINUTES ALLOTTED FOR EACH SPEAKER) - This portion of the agenda provides opportunity to speak on an item, which is NOT on the agenda.  Pursuant to the Brown Act, the Planning Commission can take no action at this time; however, the Planning Commission may refer your comments/concerns to staff, or request the item be placed on a future agenda.

NEW ITEMS

 

1.   DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR PRECISE PLAN OF DESIGN (PPD) NO. 06-10 (PUBLIC HEARING - LIMITED TO 30 MINUTES) A development agreement for a previously approved triplex project to meet affordable housing requirements. The project, which is currently under construction, was approved to construct two, two-story units (for a total of three units) and a 540 square-foot addition to a 680 square-foot dwelling, and demolish an existing 400 square-foot detached garage. The 0.46-acre site is located at 10625 Poplar Street on the east side of Poplar Street between Redlands Boulevard and Park Avenue, in a Multi-Family Residence Zone (R-3). REPORT

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

 

a.   Recommend Approval to the City Council

 

2.   PRECISE PLAN OF DESIGN (PPD) NO. 08-05  (PUBLIC HEARING - LIMITED TO 30 MINUTES)– A request to develop an existing vacant parcel to accommodate a second fire station for the City of Loma Linda. The proposed station will remain on the parcel for a period of five to six years, or until a more permanent site is secured. The temporary fire station will include the construction of a 1,650 square-foot modular structure designed to house the full-time crew and a 1,575 square-foot garage (for storage of fire vehicles and equipment). The project site is located on the southwest corner of Redlands Boulevard and Ohio Street, east of Anderson Street in the East Valley Corridor Specific Plan/General Commercial (EV/CG) zone. STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

 

a.   Approve the project.

Materials related to an item on his Agenda submitted to the Planning Commission after distribution of the agenda packet are available for public inspection in the Community Development Department, 25541 Barton Road, Loma Linda, CA during normal business hours. Such documents are also available on the City’s website at www.lomalinda-ca.gov subject to staff’s ability to post the documents before the meeting.
