A.     CALL TO ORDER - Persons wishing to speak on an agenda item are asked to complete an information card and present it to the secretary.  The Planning Commission meeting is recorded to assist in the preparation of the minutes, and you are, therefore, asked to give your name and address prior to offering testimony.  All testimony is to be given from the podium.

CONTINUED ITEMS

 

  1. TENTATIVE TRACT MAP NO. 19096 AND PRECISE PLAN OF DESIGN NO. 08-03 – (PUBLIC HEARING; LIMITED TO 10 MINUTES) – A request to subdivide a 0.71-acre site (approximately 31,000 square-feet) for the construction of a 10-unit condominium complex.  The proposed site plan includes the construction of four 1,140 square-foot units; two 1,630 square-foot units; one 1,286 square-foot unit; one 1,266 square-foot unit; and two 856 square-foot units for total lot coverage of 6,358 square-feet or 20.5 percent. The proposal also includes the construction of an on-site recreation area on 8,034 square-feet, and the total private rear yards to be approximately 1,487 square-feet in size. The project site contains an existing, 1,545 square-foot, single-family residence that is proposed for demolition as part of this project. The project site is located at 25441 Cole Street, east of Benton Street in a Multiple-Family Residence (R-3) Zone. REPORT

  1. GENERAL PLAN UPDATE PROJECT – (PUBLIC HEARING; LIMITED TO 10 MINUTES) – The project is a revision to the City’s 2006 General Plan to implement and incorporate the provisions of Measure V, a slow growth initiative that was approved by Loma Linda voters on November 7, 2006. The revisions also include an update to the 2006 Housing Element and other amendments to various General Plan Elements related to recent legislative changes and judicial decisions. REPORT

NEW ITEMS

 

  1. PRECISE PLAN OF DESIGN NO. 08-04 – (PUBLIC HEARING; LIMITED TO 10 MINUTES) – A request to renovate and expand the Loma Linda University Cafeteria, convert the former La Loma Credit Union space into a Student Activities Office, and add a student lounge in an existing patio dining area. The project is Located at 11147 Anderson Street. REPORT

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

 

a.   Continue to January 7, 2008

 

  1. GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO 07-02 AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 08-02 (PUBLIC HEARING; LIMITED TO 30 MINUTES) – A to amend the text of the General Plan Commercial land use designation to increase the allowable Floor Area Ratio (FAR) from the existing 0.5 to proposed 0.75 for hospitality uses, and requests approval of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to construct a four-story hotel with 111 rooms, meeting space, and a restaurant with beer & wine service on a 2.4 acre site. In addition, the project proposes to demolish two existing commercial structures and a single family residence. The subject property is located on the south side of the Redlands Boulevard approximately 515 feet east of Anderson Street. REPORT
