A.   CALL TO ORDER - Persons wishing to speak on an agenda item are asked to complete an information card and present it to the secretary. The Planning Commission meeting is recorded to assist in the preparation of the minutes, and you are, therefore, asked to give your name and address prior to offering testimony. All testimony is to be given from the podium.

E.   ORAL REPORTS/PUBLIC PARTICIPATION ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS (LIMITED TO 30 MINUTES; 3 MINUTES ALLOTTED FOR EACH SPEAKER) - This portion of the agenda provides opportunity to speak on an item, which is NOT on the agenda. Pursuant to the Brown Act, the Planning Commission can take no action at this time; however, the Planning Commission may refer your comments/concerns to staff, or request the item be placed on a future agenda.

NEW ITEMS

 

1.   TIME EXTENSION (TE) NO. 10-12 (FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CUP) NO. 08-02 (PUBLIC HEARING – LIMITED TO 30 MINUTES) – A request for approval of a one-year time extension from January 13, 2010 through January 12, 2011 for CUP No. 08-02. The project includes the demolition of three existing structures (one residential two commercial) for accommodate the construction of a 109 room hotel with a restaurant with bar service.  The project site is located on the south side of Redlands Boulevard, approximately 550 feet east of the intersection of Anderson Street in the Commercial General Plan land use designation and the General Commercial Zone of the East Valley Corridor Specific Plan (EVCSCP). (STAFF REPORT) (ATT A) (ATT A2) (ATT A3)

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

 

            Recommend Approval To City Council

 

2.   PROPOSED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE RICHARDSON WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND GROUNDWATER WELLS [RICHARDSON WELL NO. 5 (R5) AND MOUNTAIN VIEW WELL NO. 6 (MV6)] (PUBLIC HEARING – LIMITED TO 30 MINUTES) – The NOI/Initial Study evaluates the potential impacts of the project, which includes two new water production wells (R5 and MV6) and the new Richardson Water Treatment Plant, which is designed to treat and remediate perchlorate and TCE from Wells R5 and MV6. The wells and treatment plant are located in the vicinity of the Cooley Avenue/Richardson Street intersection on two lots that have been annexed into the City of Loma Linda and are bordered by the City of San Bernardino. (REPORT)

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

 

            Adopt Negative Declaration
